Kerry Woodson
Owner
Kerry possesses a special combination of business ownership experience and academic credentials. Kerry has over 35 years of experience owning and managing his own businesses. Kerry got started in the HVAC industry as a teenager working in his dad's business. In 1987, at the age of 23, he assumed the ownership and daily management responsibilities of the company. In 2002, Kerry stepped away from the daily operations to help start other business endeavors. While running his businesses, Kerry realized he always had more to learn and continually expanded his education, obtaining a Bachelors's degree in Professional Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and earning an MBA from Rice University. As a Senior Consultant with the Small Business Development Center, he counseled hundreds of entrepreneurs, from sole proprietor start-ups to well-established corporations. In addition to consulting and training business owners, he has taught accounting, economics, and entrepreneurship at the university level and wrote a regular column for Houston Community Newspapers dealing with entrepreneurial issues. In 2012, Kerry reassumed the day-to-day operations of Cooper Air Service. His other activities revolve around being a dad to his four daughters, participating in church functions, and playing and coaching basketball.
